24. Time to build my juice back up

This may have inspired 50 cent to enter the rap game, and it does seem to be about his reality.
Last issue I forgot to mention the other reality which is that I am male. That means I almost top of the tree.
Things are bad but not Trump bad or are they? In Mauritius leader roles in major political parties and movements happen in a few ways

Anywhere else leaders would have resigned after bad election results or losses. Mauritius, this does not happen. Why?
At this point in time, 110 families are receiving emergency food packages in Mahebourg. The government said they would organise support for them, to date money has not arrived. Again they appear to be late.
This weekend I had the chance to spend time with my nephew, he joined me on one of my missions*. We have similar interests and discussed the idea of people’s reality which exists and how it influences our behaviour and how each one is valid.

Being Deliberately Sustainable
Time is a limited resource, we all die. How we spend that time is a deliberate choice. We can extend by paying attention to parts of our lives which we can influence by creating routines and practices. Those deliberate choices extend to other parts of our lives including our purchases.
At times it can feel powerless against corporations and governments who have their instruments of influence. I will hold my hand up around my practices, I have Apple technology, unfortunately I have been in their ecosystem since the ipod came out, my media is tied to them. Like issue 23, There must be some sort of way out of here. Here it is
All is not all bad, sometimes it is important to look for the details and try to hold them to account. A practice which we may want to consider is looking at the company’s online presence for what their commitments are. Here is an example of the Apple statement, there is no mention of supply chain responsibility however.
One dilemma I have at the moment is that the market leader in CCTV is HIKvision, a company part owned by the Chinese state and their kit is believed to be used in the Muslim internment camps. Again Trump is right in the approach but our reasons differ. I can make the choice to choose another provider. Now I need to look at what the competitors are on the market and look not only at their supply chain but environmental impact. My reality is that I need a working solution, but I will feed back to potential suppliers explaining my decision not to use them. They will be sent via email but also published here. Hopefully it can be of use.
The act of making a choice has now become a more thought out quality defined experience. Company behaviour can be shifted by markets, governments and investors. An area of interest is divestment, something which I will look at creating an action plan for in a later edition.
For now it will be the decisions I make in purchasing and feeding back to the companies involved in a constructive manner. We have a duty to move the conversation forward in a constructive manner.
Something to listen to
Now I am guessing that most of the readership would have heard of Prince and would at least be able to recognise a prince song. I was not a die hard fan, but I am a big fan none the less, on a drunken night out in Majorca, me and a friend sang along to the entirety of Purple Rain on our stumble back to our hotel. The album is contributed to the addition of the parental advisory warning on albums.
Prince was immensely talented, with a prodigious output of music. The album was the soundtrack to the film, Purple Rain, it is one of the greatest albums of all time. This piece gave me a chance to listen to the album again.
It also led to one of the greatest comedy sketches of all time
